Hormones can be a useful part of many different treatment strategies. The hormone profile is a comprehensive look at all the major hormones. By measuring all the major hormones together and at one time, one can determine their interactions and how to optimize their balance.
The Complete Cardio Profile with Oxidized LDL offers doctors and patients a complete picture of a person’s CVD risk compared with a standard lipid profile. This Profile measures standard cardiovascular disease markers: total cholesterol, low-density lipoprotein (LDL), high-density lipoprotein (HDL), very-low-density lipoprotein (VLDL), and triglycerides. In addition, the Complete Cardio Profile measures oxidized LDL, markers of inflammation, obesity, and metabolic syndrome.
This comprehensive screen is designed to ensure health in your patient. It allows you to screen for extreme conditions so that you treat patients who can be safely addressed and refer out those who need special services. In addition to monitoring for organ decline, there are a number of markers that will give nutritional information and are fundamental to integrative medicine and health.
Oxidized LDL predicts the progression of heart disease and plaque formation in the arteries.

If your test results show you have food sensitivities, it means your immune system is attacking certain foods. Doctors generally remove severe, high, and moderately reactive foods and rotate healthy foods in an effort to heal the gastrointestinal lining. Later, foods may be reintroduced one at a time to see if they cause problems.
Depending on your clinical history and symptoms, your doctor may use treatments such as enzymes, probiotics, and antimicrobial herbal formulas. If you have signs of intestinal permeability, your doctor may use supplements designed to strengthen your gastrointestinal lining.
Sometimes, further testing is needed to find out the cause of food reactions, such as a Comprehensive Stool Analysis or Intestinal Barrier Assessment.
Researchers estimate that at least 60 percent of the U.S. population suffers from unsuspected food reactions that can cause or complicate health problems. Symptoms can be extraordinarily diverse, ranging from arthritis to eczema to migraines. In extreme cases, food allergies can lead to anaphylactic shock and death if untreated. Fortunately, most people do not have severe reactions.
Clinical Signs and Symptoms:
Eczema
Joint Pain
Constipation
Diarrhea
Gas
Headaches
Bloating
Palpitations
Bowel Dysfunction
Anxiety
Depression
Indigestion
Fatigue
Congestion
Rheumatoid Arthritis
Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis
A food sensitivity, or food intolerance, occurs when a person has difficulty digesting a particular food, leading to symptoms such as intestinal discomfort such as gas, abdominal pain or diarrhea.
According to the American Academy of Allergy Asthma and Immunology, a food intolerance can be confused with a food allergy. Food intolerances involve the digestive system while food allergies involve the immune system.
We maintain scrupulous standards of privacy. We are never obligated to provide any third party with a copy of your records unless you specifically ask that we do so.
We can streamline your care when you’re sick and away from home. Many illnesses can be diagnosed and treated with a simple conversation by phone, email, text or webcam. We’ll also locate the nearest pharmacy and order the medications most appropriate for your circumstances.

Yes. We are happy to accept children of our enrolled patients with ages ranging from birth up to 22 years old.
In providing superb care with unprecedented access, we seek to prevent or reduce hospitalizations and specialty referrals.

No. Your retainer is not yet defined as a “medical expense” in most states and as such is not deductible. Please confer with your tax consultant to clarify tax consequences in your particular circumstances.
Yes. You will just need to sign a one-time waiver declaring that neither you or your doctor will directly bill Medicare for our services. Medicare will still cover laboratory testing, imaging, medications, or hospitalizations prescribed by our offices.
Yes. We recommend our patients continue with a major medical plan with a high deductible and health savings account to ensure financial help should hospitalization or referral to a specialist be necessary.
We do not. Perhaps the most critical distinction in our model of care is that it centers on a direct, personal relationship between you and your doctor. That directness carries over to our business model as well.
While one might need an insurance company to help cover the cost of fixing a damaged fender on your automobile, we see no reason for an insurer to have a voice about the quality or cost of your care.
We forgo insurance payments in order to save our patients from the arbitrary, intrusive decisions that inevitably follow with third-party payors. Furthermore, this direct fee-for-service arrangement frees us from the typical contractual agreements that prevent physicians from offering wholesale prices on laboratory tests, imaging and medications.

Through our bioidentical hormone therapy program, we are able to treat many of the symptoms of aging with plant-based hormones that act just like the ones your body produced when you were younger.
The terms “Concierge Medicine” and “Direct Primary Care” are often used interchangeably and essentially refer to the same principles.
Direct Primary Care is a healthcare model that focuses on putting the patient first. That means treating them when they need it, not rushing patients through appointments, and being proactive with healthcare treatment plans.
The doctor-patient relationship is just as the name suggests – direct. Direct Primary Care clinics don’t accept insurance; rather they choose to work directly with the patient. Direct Primary Care clinics provide wholesale labs, deeply discounted prescription prices and other costs savings to their patients.
Direct Primary Care (DPC) is a model of healthcare that puts patients first by getting rid of the red tape that restricts most traditional practices.
Testicles are suppressed by taking any kind of testosterone and will not make as much testosterone while the pellets are working, so they may shrink. This is not permanent and the testicle retains its ability to produce testosterone.
Testosterone pellets may make it better if it’s not converted to DHT. We will treat that if it happens.
The blood levels of estrone and DHT are checked after treatment to see if they are elevated. Some men still convert to these metabolites even on testosterone pellets. If they are converting, we troubleshoot with natural supplements such as DIM and Saw Palmetto, or an aromatase inhibitor prescription.
Metabolites of testosterone, Dihydrotestosterone and estrone, can cause prostate enlargement and contribute to prostate cancer. Estrone increases and testosterone decreases as men age and gain belly fat. Testosterone pellets may help reverse that trend.
Facial hair will grow with testosterone pellets, but normally no more than when you were in your thirties. There is less chance of excess hair growth with natural testosterone than with synthetic hormones.
Testosterone is the third female hormone and is as essential as estrogen and progesterone. Women need testosterone to help keep their thought processes quick and libido healthy. It helps improve bone density, muscle mass, strength, and prevents some types of depression. Testosterone is also a source of energy and solid sleep.
Estrogen is the most important hormone for a woman. It can help protect women against heart attack, stroke, osteoporosis, and Alzheimer’s. It also helps keep women looking young and healthy.
Women who still have their uterus will need to be on natural progesterone as well.
We have had great success with hormone pellet therapy, especially with women who have menstrual migraines and who have new migraines that appear after age 35.
Good hormone balance greatly improves libido. The addition of testosterone in pellet form can have a profound impact on how an individual feels and interacts with others.
Most patients recognize the effect of pellets within 24 to 72 hours. Optimal effects usually occur three weeks after insertion.
Most side effects are temporary and treatable and occur less than 2 percent of the time when pelleted correctly.

Women usually need bioidentical hormone pellet therapy (BHRT). also called “pellet therapy,” every 3 to 4 months, and men every 4 to 5 months.
Pellets are a pure hormone that is not metabolized into byproducts as a result of being processed by the liver, stomach, or skin. This method of delivering hormones can help the body use the amount it needs as the blood flow surrounding the pellets “picks up” what is required.
That depends on age and activity level. Testosterone decreases fat and increases muscle and lean body mass. Testosterone also increases the body’s natural growth hormone production, thereby improving stamina and increasing muscle mass.
